| Conference Goal | ||
| In the information society in the 21st century, the Internet and other digital tools are making rapid inroads into the fabric of everyday society and in every corner of peoples' lives. These technologies -- from the Internet to mobile phones to ubiquitous computing -- span the world and make business life smooth, bringing a lot of convenience into peoples' lives. On the other hand, there are emerging problems and concerns in terms of personal information and security on the Internet and in deploying and using these technologies.
It is also a fact that some of these technologies kindle anxiety and lack of consumer trust. The objectives of this conference are to understand different concepts of each country regarding digital privacy and security as well as harmonize the different approaches, exploring possible solutions for these issues with global cooperation. The first conference aims to share legal and technical issues and current best practices in the information technology space among countries, and discuss important issues that are coming in the future. With deepened mutual understanding, and with an international point of view grounded in actual practice, the conference gives a framework to working toward the future. |
